A Sweet Reminder

My husband got home early from work the other day. I left our son with him so he could nap and I took our daughter to the mall to do some shoe shopping. When we pulled up to the mall, Constance said, "Daddy and Levi are going to miss us!" I agreed that they would. Then she said, "Mom, Jesus loves us with all of His heart!" Awww. I told her that was true and to never forget that!

"Elmo's" and Shoes

Constance can easily identify body parts and has been for awhile. She correctly uses each name properly...except for her elbows. Without fail, no matter how much we correct her, if she hurts her elbows she will say, "I just hurt my ELMOS's mamma!" While we try not to encourage her to use other names for her body parts, it is just so cute when she says it! Also, I'm not sure if I had already posted this is or not, but Levi LOVES shoes! Slippers, rain boots, hiking boots, tennis shoes, sandals-you get the idea. He thinks they are all great and willingly lets us put his shoes on. He often gets mad if we take his shoes OFF before he is ready to have them off, especially if they are his Diego shoes!

Words, words and words

My sweet Constance is becoming such a big girl in what she says. I've been amazed at her vocabulary since turning three years old this past December. The other morning after being up for awhile, I asked her if she was ready to eat some breakfast. She squinted her eyes, put one finger up to her lip as if in thought, and said, "probably mama." Constance, Levi and I were playing in our back yard the other day. Levi was putting sand in his bucket and Constance was playing with Levi's tractor. I looked up from reading and said, "Are you playing Constance?" She looked at me and said, "No, I'm not playing mommy." I said, "Oh really? Then what are you doing?" Constance said, "Well, I am actually playing but this is an OLD game!" Speaking of words, Levi's list is growing. While it is not 100% clear usually, his newest words are Diego, Stand up, Milk, and Thank you. He also really likes to say No. *Sigh* I am now 16 weeks pregnant and after interviewing three midwives I found the one we are going to go with! I start under her care the week after next. Most people think I am crazy for doing a home birth. I will gladly explain my reasons if you want to know. Just ask!

Changes for 2012

First wonderful news-We are expecting baby number 3! I am due October 11th (which is our 9th wedding anniversary). Once baby gets here, we will have a newborn, a newly 2 year old, and an almost 4 year old. Yikes! We are also choosing to have a home birth with this one. After two, non medicated hospital births, with awful experiences, home birthing seemed like a better choice! Since I am 99% sure this will be our last child, why not? :) Now I get to be one of those crazy home birthing, breast feeding, make my own baby food, baby wearing, cloth diapering type gal! Score!

Second news is that we are no longer Tennesseans. Yep. We moved to New Mexico late last month for a better job for my husband. What a beautiful place God has made.

Fair Game

Oh my sweet little Levi toes. How you love to eat! Your food, mama or dada's food, sister's food...it doesn't matter. You think any extra food left on anyone's plate is fair game. If it were up to you, I think you would steal food from people's plates while they were still eating!

Foods you love? Everything except veggies unless it is disguised in soup. You also LOVE chocolate milk and hot chocolate!

Love

Constance and Levi,

I love that I get to spend every day with you. You make me smile and melt my heart with day-to-day things.

Levi, I love your kisses. Whether you are happy or sad, you need your mama's kisses. You like to grab my entire head and make a grinding noise with your teeth as you press your entire body into mine. You also know how stinkin' cute you are and grin at me with your eight teeth (by the way, your mama is convinced that you ONLY have 8 teeth. Ever.) anytime you know you are doing something you shouldn't be. You also LOVE to read. You grab a book or several books off the shelf, find me, and walk backwards till your sitting on my lap. You point at everything on every page and go, "Uhhh."

My sweet Constance. You are such a mama's girl right now. I must admit that I rather enjoy it. You have me put you down to bed now (it used to be your daddy) and you want only me to buckle you in the car seat if the whole family is going somewhere. If you have to choose who gets you dressed between mommy or daddy, it will always be me. You always ask me to play with you. I find this slightly amusing because I always play with you, you don't have to ask. You LOVE to read and always ask for one more story. You LOVE to sing. I love when you tell me you love me. You also have a super imagination and always have pretend animals running around.

I love you both with all my heart.

Oranges

Constance,

You can always make me laugh. Today after devouring roughly two whole oranges you sweetly asked for more. I said, "I'm sorry, we don't have any more. You ate the last ones. We will have to go to the store and buy some more." You gave me your best pitiful look and said, "Well...that's just sad."

Singing Star

Constance,
I love you. You love to sing your little heart out. At any given moment we can hear you sing songs such as the "ABC" song, to "The People on the Bus" to "Jesus Loves Me." We also hear you singing made up songs. Your most recent one was "Nanny loves Grandpa and I love Jesus. I also love my soapy pony." (You were in the bath with your small stuffed pink pony). To add extra style, you play your pink guitar.

Your daddy and I delight in your songs and hope you continue to sing with passion all the days of your life.

Love
Mommy
