Today is "Dress Like A Cow" night at the restaurant Chick-Fil-A. If you go in wearing cow stuff from head to toe you can get a free value meal (or a free kid's meal if you are a kid). Last year, while I was pregnant with Constance, my husband, sister-in-law, and nephew all dressed up like cows and was able to eat for free. I wish I could find the picture so I could show all of you blog readers. Unfortunately my sister-in-law and nephew moved away but this year Keith and I get to dress up Constance as well. Obviously she will not be able to eat a kid's meal but we might look rather silly if Keith and I were dressed like cows and the only child with us, wasn't. We will have to attach her spots and ears once we get there…otherwise she might spend the trip happily taking off all the black spots. We will take pictures and put them on the blog later on.
As for the solid's Constance has been trying since Father's Day she has had-Squash, Applesauce, Sweet Potato, Peach/Banana and starting today she will try green beans. So far she has not liked any of them but last night we had a break through. She ate a whole applesauce cube! That has never happened before and we are so excited.
Last night the baby slept longer than what she has in quite some time. She slept from 9p.m.-4a.m. and woke up crying. Right as I was getting ready to get up and get her she quitted down and fell back asleep. She woke up again right before 5a.m. totally miserable. I fed her and she went back to sleep for another two or so hours. She is back in her own room again and we think the birds woke her up. We can not hear there happy chirping at such an ungodly hour but when you walk in the nursery you can hear them loud and clear. I wonder if there is anything I can do about that?
